We do not test on animals
Our Policy
At Avena we do not nor have ever tested any products or ingredients on animals since we established.
We buy our ingredients, essential oils, carrier oils and all the products we use and sell from a handful of reputable suppliers who have the same policy of not testing on animals as us.
Our suppliers are reputable, long established, ethical companies we have used for many years and should a product from them go out of stock we would prefer to not sell it for a while rather than try to source it from someone we do not know.
Unfortunately some companies use the phrase ‘we do not test on animals’ but have ways of getting around this by the way they word their policy or may simply buy from companies that do meaning the end user could still end up with a product that has been animal tested.
We don’t develop new products so have no need to test on animals, our products are made from natural oils that have been used for thousands of years so the established lines we have now were also never tested on animals.
